Coming to reality
Jesus knew His life on this earth was rapidly drawing to a close. He faced that future, saddened but unflinching. There's a lesson for us in terms of coming to see reality in our lives, a reality that miraculously mixes with grief and hope in a life-giving way. Let's prepare for Easter!
The near death experience
Join us as we listen to four panelists speak of the Near Death Experience. What Stephen Lis, Sgt. Matthew Pennington, Margaret Gladish, and Dr. Erica Hyatt have to say could be life changing.
From Sgt. Pennington: "I know there is a purpose for my life greater than I can understand and comprehend, to spend the time lying on the desert floor [dying] sensing the love of God and not wanting to live but having the foresight to know everything is going to be alright [and everything] is certainly divine in nature. I believe we all have a purpose while we are here, whether it is inspiring a stranger through an open act of kindness, guiding the father and mother-less, assisting those less fortunate than ourselves. Sure my life has not been easy I have been tested and have had my fair shares of passing and failing them, but through my trials I have grown to have compassion and understanding."
The Garden of Gethsemane: a song of grief
The Garden of Gethsemane was a time of great grieving for Christ. What lessons does he leave us?
There are parts of our life that are difficult. We need to understand what grief is, and what it can do. If we can open ourselves, perhaps we can find a blessing.
Let's celebrate Resurrection!
