Churches need to have something to say. Sometimes those words bring comfort. Other times challenge. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, writing of his beloved Germany in World War II, said in a letter to his friend that he knew the church was dead when it had nothing to say about war.
We need to speak at times in uncomfortable ways if we are to be a church of "Movement", a church that is actually alive. That is how important conversation starts. The alternative is a church of "Comfort" - not exactly the most engaging of missions!
